Guard rails are installed along the edges of the roof or elevated surface, creating a barrier to prevent individuals from falling off.
  2. Posts. Guard rails are supported by vertical posts that are securely attached to the roof or structure.
  3. Toe boards or kick plates. Toe boards or kick plates are often installed at the base of the guard rails. They act as additional barriers to prevent tools, equipment, or debris from falling off the roof and provide further protection for individuals working on the roof.
  4. Base plates or anchors. The posts of the guard rail system are typically anchored to the roof or structure using base plates or anchors. These secure attachments ensure the guard rails remain stable and withstand external forces.

Roof guardrail systems are a safety measure, providing continuous protection along the roof edges and helping to prevent falls. These are useful in situations where workers may need to access the roof frequently or perform tasks near the roof edge.
